Meghan's Princess Party!

Wow! Its been a few weeks, and I have just been so busy with school, work, and Meghan that I haven't had time to post anything...but I have all these pics from Meghans party, I HAD to share!
So, Meghan is really into princesses this year ( what a huge change from last years Pirates Theme huh?) So, we decided to do a dress up party! Everyone came in their Disney princess best, and we had a great ( although HOT...100 degree hot) time!
This top pic is of Meghan and her friend Brynn, aka Ariel and Snow White. They had a great time picking out their outfits before the party!




This is the Princess Barbie birthday cake that Nana made for the party...I have been told that we will NEVER be attempting this again ( fondant sucks!) but Meghan and the other party goers LOVED it!

Meghan was SOOO excited to see all of her friends...it was great! Usually they only see each other at church, so it was fun to watch them play together. It was also fun to see al the girls arrive in their dresses!
They got to decorate their own princess crowns...

And had their nails painted!
She got a TON of new princess toys, which is in love with! I love this photo of her and I...she opened a card from Aunt Becky and cousin Kailey, and it has a funny dancing guinea pig on it. I wish we had a video clip of her, she was sooo excited about the card, she got up and started dancing...I think the card was ALMOST more of a hit than the actual present!

So...yes...that IS a candle in the Barbie dolls hair! We forgot that we didnt have a place for a candle, and someone made a comment to stick it in her hair, and it actually worked! I just made sure to light the candle JUST before she was going to blow it out. We didnt want to ended up with a charred barbie!
The kids wanted to go outside so badly, but it was sooo hot! All th adults were laughing that it cpuld be 500 degress outside, but somehow, it doesnt affect their fun! I should have made it a princess bathingsuit party, and had the sprinklers going...there is always next year!

So, we eventually dragged them back in, and got a picture..you can see how some of them have quite the rosy cheeks! In the back is Avery, the only boy!

This has got to be my favorite picture! Meghan has some really special friends! Left to right...Taylor, Meghan, Brittany and Brynn. We ended up with 3 Ariels, and 2 of them are in this picture!

Hey everyone! So, I dont have much to post word wise, but...sort of by accident, Meghan and I got a picture taken today, and it actually turned out pretty, good, so I thought I would share! Meghan is wearing her"turban", which she likes to wear to help her hair dry faster...she is just too cute!

So, here she is! My big girl on her first day of school!I posted a pic of her last year int he same spot ( she is repeating Kinder as she was young going in last year). I cant believe how fast the year went!

Meghans new kitten! Will it be Walter or Gilbert?

Meghan had been asking for a kitten for a long while now...and finally convinced her Papa to let us get one...she was SOOO excited! Here are a few pics of our new family member!
And a little info on the name...the kitten came with the name Walter, which Meghan liked...but after finding out that Calliou's cat on PBS kids was named Gilbert, she is taking a few days to re think this!

New York Baby!

So, I am going to try my best to keep up with all that has happened over the summer, since I have been a bad girl and havent posted any pics! First of all...this past June, I went to New York with some of the girls from church, the Senior Road trip. I took over 300 pics...we started out in Rochester, traveled to see Niagra Falls, then went and saw some church history sights...we ended up in New York(Manhattan) for a few days...4 days is DEFINITELY not enough time to see it all!

I have a ton of pics, but I need to size them down, so give me some time and I will post them!

So, I have noticed that a few people have been getting into these blogs, so I thought...why not! I take pics all the time and its nice to catch up with other people...so I will try my best to keep this updated!

I added a few pics to get started. Meghan and I went to the SC Fair 2 weekends ago with some friends of ours, and her and Brynn had a blast on all the kiddie rides. It was a nice way to end the week, as work has really been stressful!
